Score 1500+ on the Digital SAT

Understanding the Digital SAT

The Digital SAT is 2 hours 14 minutes long. It has two main sections: Reading and Writing, and Math. Each section has two modules. The first module decides whether the second module is easier or harder. This means students need to do well on the first module to get to the harder second module and potentially score higher.

Focus on the First Module

The first module is very important. It decides the difficulty of the second module. To do well on the first module, students should practice with real test questions. They should aim to get at least 18 out of 27 questions correct on Reading and Writing, and 15 out of 22 questions correct on Math. This requires a lot of practice and review of the material.

Practice with Real Test Questions

Practicing with real test questions is the best way to prepare for the Digital SAT. Students can use official study guides or online resources to get real test questions. They should practice under timed conditions to simulate the actual test. This will help them get used to the time pressure and the format of the test. Each practice session should be 32 minutes for Reading and Writing, and 35 minutes for Math.

Review and Analyze Mistakes

After each practice session, students should review and analyze their mistakes. They should identify the types of questions they got wrong and focus on improving those areas. This requires a lot of review and practice, but it is worth it. Students should aim to improve their score by at least 100 points each week. This means they need to get 5-10 more questions correct each week.

Tradeoffs and Time Management

To score 1500+ on the Digital SAT, students need to make some tradeoffs. They need to spend less time on other activities and more time practicing for the test. They also need to manage their time well during the test. This means they need to pace themselves and make sure they have enough time to answer all the questions. The tradeoff is that they will have less free time, but the reward is a high score on the Digital SAT.

Setting a Study Schedule

Students should set a study schedule and stick to it. They should practice for at least 10 hours a week, with 5 hours focused on Reading and Writing, and 5 hours focused on Math. They should also take practice tests every week to track their progress. By following this schedule and practicing consistently, students can score 1500+ on the Digital SAT.
